Using small DOF to create a 3D effect

Sometimes an open aperture is great to give a architecture photo more visual punch and make it look more 3D. I love the different colors in this photo. But with an open aperture focused on the VSN-tag in the middle of the scene it works even better. The vanishing point does the rest.
